What happened?
MBR and GPT both contain some special partition bits/flags in the partition table. Ventoy marks the first partition as bootable in MBR systems, which is probably for compatibility reasons if I'm not mistaken?
GPT offers 3 common partition attributes: platform-required, EFI-ignore and BIOS-bootable. When a Ventoy drive is created in the GPT format, Ventoy doesn't set the BIOS-bootable GPT flag for the first partition, which is an equivalen of bootable/active flag in MBR (which gets set). Is this difference deliberate?
The first partition could possibly also benefit from the EFI-ignore flag, which makes UEFI not read the partition contents. This could possibly speed up boot in some systems and be an additional reason for UEFI to not bother with the first partition.
In any case none of this is documented in Ventoy docs, so this is another issue here. Please update MBR any GPT layout documentation with relevant partition flag explanations and reasoning behind.
