What happened?
Before I start, I just want to say I tried this with GPT as well.
So, I've been trying to boot to Damn Small Linux, but it's giving me a "Maybe this image doesn't support x64 UEFI?" type message, even though I have tried Legacy Mode, and even the "Boot to Legacy Mode first" option! Now, I really want to use DSL, so I have thought a bit, and thought that maybe Ventoy could try making sure that the ISO was booted with Legacy Mode or something, I'm not a ventoy dev.
It should be noted that Ventoy can not decide to boot in Legacy BIOS mode or UEFI mode.
It's the BIOS that decides to boot Ventoy in Legacy BIOS mode or in UEFI mode.
When you boot into Ventoy main menu, pay attention to the lower left corner.
1.0.81 UEFI www.ventoy.net <-- This means that Ventoy was booted in UEFI mode by the BIOS.
1.0.81 BIOS www.ventoy.net <-- This means that Ventoy was booted in Legacy BIOS mode by the BIOS.
You need to use a initrd.iso version - e.g. http://distro.ibiblio.org/damnsmall/current/dsl-4.4.10-initrd.iso and may need to use F1 before booting it (and F7 if you get graphics problems)
Ok, I'll check that, also thanks, @steve6375 I'll try that.
