What happened?
The X Window System does not start after loading Linux kernel components. Knoppix Linux freezes on a black screen.
I can't reproduct the issue. It boot OK in my laptop.

Please checksum the ISO file as follows:

Write the same ISO file to the same USB stick with Rufus and boot it to see whether it can boot OK.
