only seeing original type of biter. no evolution of other biter types while playing

running full bob's mods and most angel mods but not angels exploration definately bobs enemies also combat mechanics overhaul

I swear I had this problem before a long while back but forget what I did to fix this

Basically, I'm at 30% evo and I've yet to see anything but normal biter bases

I'm seeing them use rampant tactics like grouping large groups into one entity and getting a number and rushing up to walls, etc

but it's all "base" biters all around me and nothing else

I searched through the mod portal page and saw some ppl having same issues but nobody responded to them.

So I'm at a loss

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you play with Bob's Enemies (and Bob cheat mods making plasma blasts), then you need to turn off New Enemies completely in Rampant, so there will be only rampant's attack tactics. Rampant's New Enemies are incompatible with those of Bob's pack. Rampant New Enemies are played with Rampant Arsenal mod instead.

Also you can try Rampant Fixed mod. It is a clone of old Rampant and it has features of compatibility with Bob's Enemies. I didn't try it personally.

so I have rampant and rampant arsenal and bob's enemies

so, if I wanted both rampant tactics and rampant enemies, could I just disable bob's enemies?

Does this disable the dropping of multi-colored artifacts then? as in, does rampant do this on it's own w/o bob's enemies?

do you happen to know what happens if I change this mid game (for any of what you mentioned?)

so I tried the rampant fixed mod replacement first. so far it looks like it's working but yeah, I think I'm about to be creamed lmfao

Rampant originally had a support for muticolored Bobs artifacts, but there were complain threads about how it works. I didn't try. The problem is that Bob's enemies have spitters with extra range, who Rampant Arsenal mod's gun/laser turrets can't reach. And plasma type of damage looks an absolute cheat vs Rampant's new enemies. So things look normal when Bob's enemies are opposed by Bob's Warfare turrets. And Rampant's New Enemies are countered by Rampant Arsenal defenses. I don't know how to mix everything up and keep the balance. I didn't find any way for myself and used separated playthroughs (e.g. no New Enemies, but with Cold and Explosive biters mods and so on). I don't like unbalanced play, but that's my personal view.
