[BUG] install-yourself fails to find ~/.profile file

Open niyue opened this issue 4 years ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug

I am on macOS and using iTerm and zsh. When I first install dds using dds install-yourself after downloading it, dds reported errors saying users's profile file cannot be found.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Follow the installation instruction here, https://dds.pizza/docs/tut/install.html to download dds
  2. run dds install-yourself

dds Output

[info ] Installing [/Users/xxx/dds] to [/Users/xxx/.local/bin/dds]
[error] Failure while installing: Reading file: /Users/xxx/.profile: No such file or directory

I do have ~/.zshrc file but don't have the ~/.profile file locally.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • Operating System: macOS
  • Compiler: Clang
  • dds Version: 0.1.0-alpha.6
