Question

I previously have a Synology system setup, and I have 2 drives, they are in SHR raid mode. I want to move the system to Virtual DSM. I understand that I need to mount the drives, and preferably by UUID. But the drives has multiple petitions, see below Question: 0. Does bring existing drives even passible?

  1. If yes, how should I do it?
  2. Should I mount all the uuids? If true, all use "DISK1" to "DISK N" in which order?

This will not work. vdsm cannot create or manage raids as it is not designed for this. If you want to migrate from an existing “real” nas, I recommend a backup/restore with Hyper Backup.
