Are there any plans or interest in created common functions. I've started to convert code to use mtapi and have to check if im conneccted to mt4 or mt5 and issue different commands.

At this moment I don't have an opportunity to implement common functions for both platform, and I am not sure that it is needed. MT4 will die in the near future.
