I am with that problem a long time ago on this website, already clicked on refresh button and change my location name as the same of the people in my city.

And some of the has Marília set as their city on GitHub, for example: http://git-awards.com/users/edersonsandre

I don't know why your user isn't updating.

By the way, I've noticed the city autocomplete is based on this JSON file, so there's no autocomplete for 'Marília', but you can still search for it manually.

It is not very clear but I guess location is not part of email address. https://developer.github.com/apps/building-oauth-apps/understanding-scopes-for-oauth-apps/ So as far as I can see now, it should request access for User and I guess that includes email_address and location info. Maybe a bit more info than strictly needed ....

I think this happens because Google changed their Google Maps API Policy and now requires to add an API key to each request. https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?address=Beringen
