I would've wanted to contribute.. but I lack soldering skills. I would also have to source each and every component shown on the reference image, but I also have a tablet that uses the same processor, albeit with differences.
As for the pins, are there any for the screen? Is there also something specifically for debugging purposes?
I think for the sourcing and soldering you could leverage jlcpcb or some other fab, they offer pcb assembly in addition to manufacturing. I was referring to help needed to create the documentation for this project, to which you referred correctly that has many 404s.
Also, in regards to your other questions, yes, the connector on the right side provides parallel rgb interface, and uart is exposed on the upper header for easy debugging.
I am using a combination of sunxi tools for usb flashing and uart for output and debugging.
