/votekick <specname> command to kick a spectator

Open bocaben opened this issue 5 years ago • 7 comments

Allow the players to call a vote to kick a spectator mid-game if they feel they are being disruptive and/or meddling with the outcome of the game. must include /unvotekick to rescind your vote against that person. NOTE: We should discuss whether the voters should be publicly known ("bocaben has voted to kick MyHero") or anonymous ("1 vote has been cast to kick MyHero"..."2 votes have been cast to kick MyHero", etc)

This should be thoroughly discussed in the forums before implementation.

I would love the ability to kick out spectators, but I don't agree that it should be locked down to only the game host. Once a game begins all players should have equal importance.

That being said, maybe it should require a minimum number of players to vote to kick before it happens? Something similar to the kick functionality on scribbl.io?

Vote kick would be a decent idea imo. Maybe the num of players in the room / 2 rounded up (so majority).

Personally, I'd go with the public option for transparency's sake, but it's up to you guys. Any disagreement?

I agree, public option.

I think this command would be great, but it should be /votemute so that the muted guy could still spectate?

Either one would be fine I think.
