Django 1.4 and easytags

As I see Django 1.4 has all the functionality of easytags out of the box. Does that mean, it the end of the app?

I saw that Django 1.4 has implemented some improvements in custom template tags. I didn't have time to study the solution but if it does everything easytags is meant to do, so I don't see why maintain a project that do exactly the same as the django core.
