What did you do?

Looking for regex matches for: [^.]Exception

What did you expect to see?

All occurrence of word Exception not directly preceded by a dot.

What did you see instead?

No difference with or without the excluded character.

To be sure I did like: 2022.*Exception and got a filtered list where the log line starts with the year.
