Feature request: label UI for search patterns
We often search with multiple patterns once time like: "pattern_a|pattern b|pattern-c". And we need add patterns by typing a pattern and typing "|"; when delete a pattern, we need select the pattern (you can't select "pattern b" by double click the mouse) and type backspace twice for the pattern and the "|".
I want to proposal a new label like UI for showing and editing search patterns. We could show every single pattern as a label like this:
A "X" can be shown when the mouse touch the label, so we can delete that pattern quickly and a "+" can be shown at tail, so we can add patterns easily. Also we could edit the content in a single label.
Hi, that could be useful to make search more user-friendly. If you mostly use the sama patterns, then predefined filters provides simialr features. It is possible to add|remove them using checkboxes in the dropdown.
It's different usage for me. Predefined filters are suitable for recording a collection of patterns, but a label UI may help to adjust single pattern easily. Predefined filters is used for a kind of problem that has known patterns, and when I explore a new problem, I need add/remove single pattern frequently.
