[data request] Add column "Performance burst" enabled/disabled

Open julienlau opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

Hi,

Some EC2 instances provide baseline performance only on a limited timerange.

For instance T-type instances do not provide 1 vCore = 1 logical core (or HyperThread) because AWS use their "CPU burst" method to manage overcommitment. https://www.slideshare.net/AmazonWebServices/deep-dive-on-amazon-ec2

Regarding storage, there is also some kind of "EBS burst" corresponding to the the star in the doc https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/EBSOptimized.html * These instance types can support maximum performance for 30 minutes at least once every 24 hours.

Would it please be possible to add this column as it can severely affect EC2 performance ?

NB: Thanks for your tool

Regards JL

Thanks for the suggestion!

I think we already mention that information for the burstable instance types.

If you think it isn't enough please consider creating a PR with a proposed change and we'll gladly consider it.
