Unable to download cores "Javascript error: The request timed out"

Getting the following lines every time I go to open the app and download something:

15:52:38.007 (downloadCore) › attempting to get snes9x_libretro 15:54:01.772 (downloadCore) › Something went wrong. connect ETIMEDOUT 172.67.172.126:443 15:54:46.546 › Error: The request timed out.

Running on macOS Big Sur on an M1 machine.
