Hi, this great plugin is marked as LEGACY in FF 55.0a1. Even if this is not yet Productive it would maybe an good idea to fix this problem.

Sorry, CM+ will never be non-legacy addon and will die as any other legacy addons when FF 57 is released. That's because it requires APIs that won't be available in FF 57 And "Web API" that mozilla is pushing (which makes that addon non-legacy) is as limited as API in Chrome, where addons are pathetic compare to what we had in FF.

Was this reopened just for visibility, or are there plans to port this to a webextension?

Unfortunately I see no possibility convert this addon with new API. Left this issue opened just for visible information

What says mozilla about this?

Hi @vanowm I'm wondering whether you have asked on Bugzilla the type of APIs that you may require? From what I can see Mozilla seems to be responsive to some new requests regarding missing APIs from addon devs and may implement them.

I think it may be a worth a shot if you haven't...this really is a great addon and would love for it to live on after FF57!

This one seems to work with WebExtensions and also provides deleting, creating, editing and so on. I didn't try it yet, but maybe this is a sign CM+ could also be ported to WE?

To be honest, I don't support what Mozilla is doing to Firefox and have no plans do anything for that browser in the future. Any further development of any of my addons will be strictly for Waterfox and Palemoon.

Here is a good read from developer of one of the most popular addons for Firefox DownThemAll

His announcement was back in December 2016. And he is still working on a new version for WebExtensions. See here: https://www.downthemall.net/progress/ Quite sad to see that he is still doing work despite the angry post in December. Not very consequent.
