Suggesting to take a look https://www.vuestorefront.io/ and see if it might be a valid front-end alternative in order to scale down size of this project and focus on the backend side.

I think also a lot of inspiration can be taken from https://getsaleor.com/ for the backend

Since Vanilo has no frontend, it's possible to use vuestorefront, or any similar frontend. Vanilo is only focusing on the backend.

The decision whether the frontend is being assembled on the backend (with blade) or on the frontend (react/vuejs/etc) from API calls is completely left to the Application developer.

We already have plans to publish a demo with vuestorefront.
