A way unselect all

I have quite often that i have to deal with multiselect But often it is not clear what exactly is selected. My main problem is that i can't get it unselected. Since currently there are no options when multiple objects are selected. please add a button to unselect all.

[Edit: I figured out that refreshing the screen helps quite often agains this bug(?) / issue. In the end it works but it is still quite sensitive.]

current work environment: Apple OSX 10.15 with safari.
