Thanks for reporting. The preload is basically starting the ride app and then closing it, that action is likely making the ride app assume that you don't want to resume...

Added an option to change the color of the gear indicator, you can choose from a few different colors  This will be available on the next Ki2 version.
I just released Ki2 version [8.0](https://github.com/valterc/ki2/releases/tag/8.0) with this new option. Try it out and let me know of any feedback! 🙂
