Maintenance?

Open ybasket opened this issue 3 years ago β€’ 6 comments

Hey @sergeykolbasov & @Doikor,

while being a happy user of odin, I noticed that seems unmaintained for quite a while now, piling up Scala Steward PRs as well as legitimate PRs from users that don't receive a review. Would you consider opening the project to new maintainers to at least ensure it stays somewhat up-to-date and remains usable?

I myself can only spare a limited amount of time, but as we use odin in several projects at $WORK, I for sure could allocate some hours here and there to do some housekeeping if wanted.

At the very least update it for Scala 3! It's a nice project :)

It's released for Scala 3 since version 0.12 (summer 2021)! Just the readme missed the update…

One year later, let's try to ping again @sergeykolbasov & @Doikor

Not intimately familiar with the codebase but I do use this at work, so if it comes to somebody stepping up and forking, I might be able to help out with maintenance a little bit.

For those of you interested, I've forked the project and released 0.14.0 πŸ‘‰πŸ½ https://github.com/scalafreaks/odin

Very nice πŸ‘ I once prepared a fork myself (and abandoned it before releasing), will try to send you some PRs to save some small improvements.

For those concerned with about supply chains: I looked through all the changes in the fork and they seem legit, no malicious things spotted in there.
