Processing options?

Presume you've downloaded a few DAS episodes, were waiting for filesortd to process them but, as it turned out, filesortd was not running. So you run it and... it won't process your items unless you move out & in again or modify them or so.

It would be so much better if you could just run filesortd and it'd see it didn't process those files, and start processing. At start, it should go over the entire file tree of its working directory, finding matching files that were not processed.

So filesortd should somehow mark processed items. As a single file can be processed by several rules, it is also important to know what rule was the file processed on. Xattrs to store hashes of Proc blocks used to process it maybe?

Thoughts?

Maybe it should just go over the directory at start, without checking if files were processed. & it should be optional
