The "flashed before" thing is mostly meant for those other models that have internal flash on the EC, or whatever they have. In our case this only means that flashing...

The chip is.. not in the most convenient location. I've had to modify the bottom case for easy access:  Also my Pi reboots every time I connect the chip...

On the L430 there is no EC flash, no "EC region" on the IFD level (EC FW is embedded in the `bios`) – so no flash tools should ever "know"...
