Describe the bug

Trying to run Application "HE_v1.25.06.07_Full.exe", downloaded from http://hwrwdrv.phpnet.us/?page_id=60. Kaspersky rates this app as Trusted & detects no malware. VirusTotal reports just 3 detections of 69 AV tests.

The App displays a Splash Screen briefly, then terminates. Windows EventLog (Application) reports:

Expected outcome

The application should Run Normally. The application does Run normally on a Windows 10 system without ExplorerPatcher

Actual outcome

The App crashes just after displaying a SplashScreen. A Windows EventLog Entry (above) is created. A CrashDump file is created. Both of these indicate the fault occurs in an EP DLL.

Maybe they are the same file(s), but I am using the download version from the web-site: https://hwrwdrv.phpnet.us/. The Download page has "Lite" and "full" versions. I'm using the Full version.

Please submit an issue to them on their github as it appears to be loading C:\Program Files\ExplorerPatcher\ExplorerPatcher.IA-32.dll

Please disable Register as shell extension in EP properties > File explorer. It is buggy at the moment and we don't plan on fixing it anytime soon.

@pyrates999 Please suggest RELEVANT solutions that actually FIX the problem rather than misleading people.

The I do not have register as shell option was ticked when the issue was created. So I assumed it wasn't enabled. I will ask them to disable that next time, even if they have indicated they didn't enable it.
