Describe the bug
Install EP 68.1 Enable Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher) taskbar and restart Explorer Ethernet is available and connected
Expected outcome
The weather wigget should when clicked should connect to weather.
Actual outcome
The weather wigget doesn't even come it. It says to check for a connection to the internet.

Having the same issue as of two days ago fwiw. The weather widget sometimes gives an "Unable to load weather information" box when clicked. If so, choosing reload shows the weather for a split second, then returns to the same error (there's no popup / cookie acceptance message or anything else, it just goes right back to "Unable to load"). Other times, clicking the widget just gives a black completely empty box with no text or options. I've tried clearing the weather widget local data (with and without restarting), uninstalling and reinstalling ExplorerPatcher, enabling the Weather DevMode, and also tried to follow the instructions in #1334, but the dll referenced there is no longer available for download.
Please don't close. #1334 is from 2 years ago and some of those files aren't even available now.

Just ran into this today though this is not the first time this has happened. I would assume is a Google issue. It was working fine yesterday, and nothing has changed on the PC. Stopping and restarting does not make a difference and has been mentioned, the old .dll is not available any more.
Booted both my win 11 machines and got this error. Hopefully it;s just a bug or something microsoft did with a update to webiview. I'll lvie with the "no internet access" news box for now

I tried that solution mentioned in [#1334] it didn't work for me. Also others replying to that thread said that it did not work for them either.

Just as an FYI. The cookies are unrelated. If you clear widget local data you are able to stay in the cookie screen without getting disconnected. If you click the widget once after that and then press tab 4 times and enter, you'll accept the cookies. This is, however, irrelevant because the widget will still now show the weather but not in the task bar. If you press upadte weather in the settings it will disconnect again and it will only show reload. When pressing reload it will not show the cookies screen but the weather for .5 seconds and then show the reload screen yet again.
