EP's new taskbar style: Open-Shell's taskbar texture missing in the pinned area
Running EP 22621.3810.66.1 on Win11 23H2 build 22631.3810 with Open-Shell 4.4.191. My custom .png file that I use for my Taskbar texture by using the option on the Taskbar tab of the Open-Shell Menu settings window panel is missing in the pinned area of the taskbar after I turn on the new taskbar style option in EP:
Another small problem is that the Open-Shell's taskbar text color setting (that also affects the foreground color of the clock) appears to be ignored.
I almost forgot, I was forced to use my %WinDir%\System32\rundll32.exe %windir%\dxgi.dll,ZZGUI shortcut to be able to access the EP settings window panel. Lucky for me, I always have that one sitting on my taskbar toolbar just in case. lol 🤓
Open shell's features other than the start menu function is untested. Thanks for letting me know.
We also lost the weather option.
@gtdurham Update EP and Weather should be back.
Closing this issue -- only Open Shell devs can fix this. I can't make EP's taskbar magically support their mods that target specifically the taskbar code in explorer.exe not any other DLL.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I "fixed" the taskbar texture issue by choosing Open-Shell's transparent taskbar option and editing my desktop background picture so that it looks as if EP's Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher) taskbar uses a texture. Simple, but effective. :)
If it isn't too much hard work, maybe one day you could add an option in EP that will allow the text color of EP's Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher) taskbar to be adjusted.
EDIT: Only the color of the clock on the Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher) taskbar appears to be affected by this; it always is in white if using Windows dark mode or black if using light mode. Whereas all the other text (if any) on the Windows 10 (ExplorerPatcher) taskbar is in the color of Open-Shell's Taskbar text color option just how it should be.
Reopening this. Maybe one day Open Shell devs can work with us to get this fixed.
