Can't change secondary taskbar location
I have uninstalled ExplorerPatcher then reinstalled. I tried resetting to defaults, uninstalling then restarting the computer then installing again and a combination of these to no avail. I am simply unable to change the secondary taskbar's location. Any idea why this might be? Thank you
Try the following:
- uninstall explorer patcher
- delete the same registry key: "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ExplorerPatcher"
- reboot
- install explorer patcher
- verify you get a notification that symbols have been downloaded
- restart windows explorer using either the task manager or in the properties window of explorer patcher
- reapply the settings you set in explorer patcher.
In the end, what helped was to unlock all taskbars, then I was able to drag the taskbar to the right. Hopefully your comment @pyrates999 will be useful for someone who stumbles on this issue in the future, if what I did doesnt help!
The setting is still bugged. Suggest reopen issue.
Reopened
Did it work for you @TheEmbracedOne though?
Sorry @pyrates999 I didnt try - after unlocking all taskbars (right clicking on taskbard), I was then able to drag my taskbar on all monitors to the right, so I no longer needed a fix for this specifically. Hopefully someone for whom that doesnt work can verify whether your fix works in the future!
Looks like the fix for this is to remove that option from explorer patcher then if windows allows you to change the taskbar position now.
I dont think Windows allows you to change the taskbar position. I think I was only able to drag it anywhere because of the patcher.
Uninstall explorer patcher and reboot and then see if you can change where the taskbar is placed on screen.
Bump, any update?
did you try the current release and pre-release of it first?
try reinstalling several times it might work ... I have tried reinstall the software 3 times and it works ... without restarting then check the properties in the taskbar then change the secondary
I solved by dragging the secondary taskbar to the location

Works on 22631.5335.68.2 on Windows 26100.6584, thanks!
