Unable to install using dnf on Fedora

Open VicMartini opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

Hi! I'm getting the following error when trying to install notion-linux using dnf on Fedora 34:

[MIRROR] notion-desktop-2.0.11-8.x86_64.rpm: Curl error (18): Transferred a partial file for https://davidbailey00.fury.land/yum/files/ver_1SeTzs/notion-desktop-2.0.11-8.x86_64.rpm [transfer closed with 22370259 bytes remaining to read]

I tried both versions ('notion-desktop ' and 'notion-enhanced') and both of them failed to install with the same error message.

I don't think the problem is on my system because I haven't encountered any problems installing other packages.

This issue seems to be the same as the one described in #47. It looks like there is something weird going on with the repo for RHEL/Fedora, I tried installing with dnf a couple of times and once the download reached 99% and then it stopped with that error  . I was finally able to download the rpm package manually using the link provided by @davidbailey00 on that issue, but it would be cool if you could fix the repo. That being said, thak you so much for the app, the enhancements are so neat. It's amazing to have this available for Linux.

Same issue here. It seems the repo isn't stable and the connection will most likely be interrupted anytime during the installation. Question though, is it any reason for not using COPR as a repo for Fedora? It might be better in terms of stability.

Same, dnf install doesn't seem to work.

I am not sure what's causing this issue - Gemfury is the repository hosting provider, so perhaps their status page could show some useful information?

I'm afraid I am no longer supporting this project, so I will not be looking into this issue further. Please see the updated README for more information. I will leave the issue open, in case of a new maintainer who is able to look into it.
