[FEATURE REQUEST] Disabling Damage Types v. Player-Built Structures (Advanced Configuration)
Is your feature request related to a problem? If so, please describe. NPCs such as Trolls, Greylings, etc. can't damage your player structures when you have the damage to player structures turned off. It would be nice to have options for what kind of damage is enabled/disabled!
As a PVE server owner, I'd like for there still to be some sort of challenge/maintenance to protecting your base, even if it's not from players. It'd be a great QoL improvement on an already incredible option you guys have added.
Describe the solution you'd like This could be an example of the config options, technically!
disableEnvironmentalDamageToPlayerStructures=true disableNPCDamageToPlayerStructures=true disableDamageToSelfOwnedStructures=true disableOtherPlayerDamageToPlayerStructures=true
disableEnvironmentalDamageToBoats=true disableNPCDamageToBoats=true disableOtherPlayerDamageToPlayerStructures=true disableDamageToSelfOwnedBoats=true
I would also be a fan of this. I'm frequently finding Greydwarfs breaking one of my buildings and I'd like to either stop them from either trying or being able to break build items.
I'd be open to trying to implement, but I haven't a ton of experience with Unity mods in particular so would need a few pointers.
Definitely I would love to allow monsters and weather etc to damage structures but... I freely admit folks accidentally punch buildings, etc... its annoying to constantly have to repair accidental player damage to Buildings, Boats. Etc.
It would be great to distinguish player damage from structures/boats and remove it on a PvE server. Let the Greydwarfs attack freely and rain ruin the roof but not misclicks.
