Revisiting WYSIWYG in List Item Type
I know this has been investigated in the past, but tabled due to core limitations. Wondering if you might be willing to take another look, and if there is a donation amount that might make it worth your while.
I am currently able to use WYSIWYG fields in a list-item option type, but it requires a workaround. Here's the story:
- Enable WYSIWYG with
add_filter( 'ot_override_forced_textarea_simple', '__return_true' ); - Define meta box with a list-item field
- In admin, click Add New one or more times to generate list items tiles
- Click Publish
- After page refresh, WYSIWYG fields are working as expected. Drag-and-drop works, etc.
Seems like it is so close to working smoothly. Just need to initialize those fields properly when the Add New button is clicked.
I completely understand that you have your own roadmap and priority features, etc. This is one that keeps coming up and I've been trying without much luck to solve it myself. Just giving a little nudge to see if it's worth taking another look. Also want to reiterate my willingness to donate. If you have a number in mind, let me know and I'll see if it's feasible.
Probably worth revisiting.
