Crashes in Linux, keyboard becomes unresponsive after first keypress

The firmware appears to crash when the keyboard is plugged into a linux machine. It works in macOS.

I flashed the firmware from my macOS laptop and it worked great, the ripple effects appeared and modifier keys turned red when fn was pressed.

When I plugged the keyboard into my Linux desktop, it would crash immediately after any keypress; no ripple effect and no response from the keyboard after that. Only unplugging and re-plugging would start it up again. Plugging it back into the mac laptop continued to work as normal.

I flashed the default firmware back to restore functionality in Linux for now, but I'd like to investigate this further to try and get this working.
