Bugs with Premiere plugin

Thanks for your amazing work on this plugin @valadaptive. I know it is not in active development but thought I would report some issues with the premiere plugin. (Mac M1 Pro, fully updated, latest ntsc, premiere 2025)

When ntsc-rs is used in an adjustment layer above other footage/graphics in a premiere sequence I have noticed the folliwing issues:

  1. I added multiple drop shadow effects to a png with alpha that is below the ntsc-rs adjustment layer. When ntsc-rs adjustment layer is disabled, all is well. When it is enabled, my png moves to a different spot in the composition. If I use only 1 dropdown effect on the png clip, there is no issue.

ntsc-rs off:

ntsc-rs on (same frame, no other changes other than enabling the ntsc-rs adjustment layer):

  1. Seems like VR transitions cannot run with a ntsc adjustment layer on top. I get a this effect requires gpu acceleration error. If I disable the ntsc adjustment layer, the transition works without issue.

I have noticed it on these transitions - probably all VR transitions and others that require gpu(?) : VR Iris Wipe VR Random Blocks

Thanks again!

These look like issues in Premiere, not ntsc-rs. I've run into similar transform issues as well, which is why I do all my motion graphics work in After Effects now. Can you confirm that this only happens with ntsc-rs, and not with other effects being used as adjustment layers?

Makes sense. So far these issues have only happened to me with ntsc-rs. I will let you know if I notice them happen with any others. I don't use premiere so much though, so not a ton of experience to draw from.

It seems I am unable to keyframe ntsc-rs premiere effect changes. At least I am unable to see the effects change in the preview in premiere. Is this known or expected?

@valadaptive i am noticing that rendering from premiere with the ntsc-rs plugin enabled on the footage makes rendering incredibly slow. seems about 8-10x slower to export with ntsc-rs enabled. is this expected? its just a bit surprising considering how fast the native application can render.
