Move this project under vala-lang?
Hi.
I've been trying to consolidate all the Vala "critical infrastructure" to a single place: @vala-lang. Would you be willing to transfer this repo? I'll add you as a member to the team.
Let me know what you think.
There might be issues with that. The whole Awesome thing is about lists created and maintained by the community. Moving it to any official capacity kinda goes against the idea of it (also, there's the fact that Vala the project might care more about stuff written in Vala, whereas I also include things that can be used from Vala but written in something else).
@vala-lang is a community organization. It's just a place for people in the Vala community to work together.
@desiderantes have your thoughts changed?
I think the project handle is misleading. Take for example the lists for both Rust and DLang. They exist in projects that are clearly named as non-official/community. Compare it with VLang's README, hosted in their own parent project (then again, vlang is at best a PoC, at worst just vaporware). Dunno, just exposing my opinion. Maybe we should run a poll somewhere? I doubt people care, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
There's no Vala Foundation at @vala-lang, it's just a group of hobbyists.
Let's transfer it
Thing is, in order to have proper redirects and all that, you would need to give me access to the org so I can transfer this repo @Prince781 .
Right. You've been added.
