Generate patches from an installed package

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Generating patches is very is left to the user (or I'm missing something) and would be amazing if patch creating could be simplified.

Have used that very same package for my Node projects and indeed - the simplicity & ease-of-use is very inspiring. Definitely a worthy thing to add!

There exists a package symplify/vendor-patches that does this, but it depends on cweagans/composer-patches unfortunatly.
