I think we can simplify the project removing the HTML Imports stuff

Thanks for the issue. The problem is that we don't have demo helpers that work with Polymer 3. There was an early preview but it wasn't finished, and it needed some dirty hacks to make <script> tags work in templates.

Reworking the whole demo setup is not something we are currently considering.
