Difficulty Bar For Unit Selection

Open Garud-Shah opened this issue 6 months ago • 6 comments

I was scrolling around through the unit catalog because I wanted more units when I realized it was really hard to find out how hard a unit was and put it on a chart. I'd like a bar display where the bottom is forest to light green and the top is red to marron, the middle yellow-green to orange, with four different columns for algebra, combo, nt, geo units. Maybe each unit could be in a box that would be white (not started), blue (in progress), purple (complete). Total and needed spade value could be added next to a unit, or maybe as a different view. This is probably very ambitious and I feel like I don't want to insert my own code in there and because I changed a random thing accidentally break OTIS, so I'm not gonna code for this, sorry.

this sounds like a new catalog view that looks more like a spreadsheet. if someone wants to write the view it should be fairly self contained i think.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZkWGIHAR4Oipz4qzKYiODba2Om2lwaBJ/view?usp=drivesdk - here’s a updated pdf (obviously need to refine the ratings and add more units) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Szg9nVKzYKXWcqXatHTD7KeVb6Kyg6Fg/view?usp=drivesdk - in .procreate form for more edits Note the units marked in alg are from my otis.

My concern is that "difficulty" is subjective (since you're putting it on a scale).

I guess the equivalent would be to add a feature to the catalog to sort each of the subjects (meaning the units in them) by B, D, Z, but this seems very annoying since units are currently grouped by name, and not separated based on difficulty. (e.g. there is all 3 levels of func eqn)

you could probably use some voting function, and wiki ratings to start
