Printing to a pdf file using the --print dialog fails in Ubuntu 24.04.

I have never been able to get printing to a pdf file to work using the --print dialog in Ubuntu. Currently, I am using Ubuntu 24.04. When I select the pdf printer option in the dialog, my printout seems to get routed and printed on the last printer I selected for printing instead of the pdf file option I selected. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something I am missing when trying to print to a pdf file instead of a physical printer?

Forgot to add the version of YAD I am using:

yad --version 14.1 (GTK+ 3.24.41)
