It doesn't give any output at all
tried both AppImage and building from source and it doesn't output anything. Even if i run with sudo or normally. Tried to also connect the wiimotes beforehand and it keeps sending me a blank line. I already have installed all dependencies.
--help work normally though.
I presume you're running without a configuration file? If so, that's odd, I've just verified that it still works for me. Try setting the G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all environment variable and see if anything helpful pops up in output. It also would be useful to know what distro you're on.

G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all didn't work either. Running on a clean folder without any configuration file.
