Fuppes server slow to appear in VLC clients

Hi,

I have Fuppes through XigmaNAS as it seems to discover my media collection better than MiniDLNA.

The only downside so far is that it takes quite awhile for the DNLA server (through Fuppes) to appear in VLC on devices we use to stream locally. Known issue? Any suggestions or configuration I can check? Thanks!
