Login Screen Freezes with Fingerprint enabled.

Open AM9327 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

For some reason after I followed this guide my login screen freezes when I use both my fingerprint and password. The only way around it was to go into the recovery terminal (fn + ctrl + alt + f2) and undo the commands to get my login screen working again. Everything is fully up to date and I followed all the commands correctly when installing. My fingerprint will work on the desktop when asked to enter root password but as soon as you restart the computer that's when things break.

When you restart your system, wait 10 seconds and then enter your passphrase. Let me know if you're still having that issue.

It happens because your drive is most likely encrypted and fingerprint can only authenticate, hence the freeze.

Let me know if that helps.
