Suggestion: Option to choose IRQ ports used by devices
Describe the issue
Can we add an option to set the IRQ for the Network card? I have been attempting to use this driver for 65K colors (https://github.com/PluMGMK/vbesvga.drv) and higher resolution, which works, but when I add a network card, for example NE2000, I cannot use it because the video driver wants that IRQ 9 port NE2000 is requesting too, therefore the networking no longer works. I confirmed it by reverting to the default VGA driver of Windows (Windows For Workgroups 3.11) and the networking worked again.
There are no other drivers for WIndows 3.11 on QEMU/UTM which would provide a such good video experience, so we need an option in UTM machine settings to change the IRQ the network card is requesting for use there.
I think the iOS version of UTM SE would need that too, since I was doing the machine on my mac to port it to my iphone later.
Configuration
- UTM Version: 4.7.3
- macOS Version: macOS Sequoia 15.7.2
- Mac Chip (Intel, M1, ...): MacBook Pro M4 Pro
I have the same setup as you with both the [host-only] networking and the enhanced graphics working; my NE2K [ISA] IRQ is 2 so it's not a direct fix to your question but a functioning alternative. The PCNet also functions fine with the enhanced graphics drivers, too and I believe I'm using IRQ10 for that
_Edit: Yeah, IRQ10 with PCNet_
