Any QEMU crash results in a unclosable window
Describe the issue
Running any VM with an invalid QEMU config will pop up with "Internal error trying to connect to SPICE server". After clicking "OK", the VM window will be unclosable. Requiring an application restart.
Configuration
- UTM Version: v4.6.5
- macOS Version: 15.5 (24F5068b)
- Mac Chip: (M1 7 Core GPU)
- Machine: Macbook Air M1 2020
Debug log
The CPU in this configuration is invalid and is supposed to be a test for an invalid config.
Experiencing this exact same issue.
One user reported success by enabling UPNP on their router, but that's not something I can do.
Another reported changing Edit > Sharing > disable "SPICE WebDAV" (change it to None or VirtFS) — but this does not work for me.
However SPICE appears to be directly related to directory sharing?
I cloned the VM (edit/clone) which then worked fine
I had similar error but for my case, I renamed the folder that was being used as a shared directory. So I had to reselect my shared directory.
