macOS Sequoia 15.4, utm 4.6.5 - mouse control for Windows fails

Open Fischmuetze opened this issue 8 months ago • 6 comments

There seems to be a serious problem with the mouse control on the new 4.6.5 (108). In my Windows 11 VMs I can move the mouse, but the left click (default) obviously points to other elements than the mouse pointer is visible when hovering. As a result, for example, other applications open in the taskbar than the one I pointed to.

Downgrade to 4.6.4 solved the issue

Configuration

  • UTM Version: Version 4.6.5 (108)
  • macOS Version: 15.4.
  • Mac Chip M1 Pro, 32GB

Did you change the new "handle initial click" settings?

me too, keyboard is ok. but trackpad is gone,

I workaround by go to top right of UAT windows then choose icon like a mouse cursor "Capture input devices".

Is it Windows ARM or x64 ? Can make a difference. I did not try Windows under 465 yes, but did both Ubuntu 22.04LTS (ARM) and Linux Mint 22 (x64) on same hardware Macbook M1 Pro . No problems with mouse or trackpad.

The "Capture input devices" workaround worked for me too, but the real fix was to just re-install guest tools.

Windows 11 24H2 ARM64
