I'm encountering this with Xubuntu guest OS on my M1. Does anybody know of a workaround for this issue?

Same problem on my M1 using NixOS. Multiple monitors just don't work apparently.

Same here. Seems not support atm: https://docs.getutm.app/advanced/multiple-displays/

  • Mac M2
  • macOS 14.5
  • UTM 4.4.5

  • Mac M3 Max
  • macOS 14.5
  • UTM 4.5.3

main display: virtio-gpu-gl-pci, 2nd: virtio-gpu-gl.

  • Fedora Rawhide, KDE Plasma 6 Wayland works with multiple displays, but one of them blinked very often.
  • Ubuntu 24.04, GNOME Wayland also works and without any blinking.

X11 doesn't work well there yet, perhaps need more setup work, on xorg.conf for example.
