Internet Drops
VM works correctly after initialization but after some while internet drops and cannot connect back even after testing network preferences
Configuration
- UTM Version: Version 3.2.4 (58)
- OS Version: Monterey 12.4
- Intel or Apple Silicon? M1
Crash log
If the app crashed, you need a crash log. To get your crash log, open Console.app, go to Crash Reports
, and find the latest entry for either QEMU, QEMUHelper, or qemu-*. Right click and choose Reveal in Finder
. Attach the report here.
Debug log
For all issues, including crashes, you should attach a debug log. Open UTM, and open the settings for the VM you wish to launch. Near the top of the QEMU
page is Debug Log
. Turn it on and save the VM. After you experience the issue, open the VM settings again and select Export Log...
and attach it here.
Upload VM
(Optional) If possible, upload the config.plist
inside the .utm
. If you do not have this, you can upload the entire .utm
but note this contains your personal data. Since Github has an attachment size limit, you may want to upload to another service such as Google Drive. Link it here.
What is the OS ? And can you give us the logs asked please ?
I am seeing this issue too - usually after the host has gone to sleep, and then been re-awoken. A reboot of the host seems to resolve it (but is pretty frustrating as a workaround).
I'm not able to get the logs requested - I don't see any crash reports for QEMU (or anything similar), and the VM settings don't have a QEMU page.
UTM 3.2.4 on macOS 12.5, Apple Silicon M1
And I am using either 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 as the DNS provider, which was working fine before the host went to sleep, but is no longer reachable afterwards
