In a single-window mode like you are suggesting, how can multiple running VMs remain accessible to the user? Should there be tabs or a different way of choosing which one to show?

The "drawer" on the right already serves as a selector. Same concept as "tabs". The currently-selected VM is shown already, but instead of the preview we would have the real thing (and the ~useless information at the bottom of this screen can go-away).

VMs would not be accessible simultaneously unless you "pop-them-out" into a separate window. I don't think most UTM users would necessarily need that (surely someone does though).

I think my frustration is that I have to manage 2 windows every time I want to use ONE vm. I think potentially even having one single window-per-vm would be fine as long as I can launch directly into that winow and with the same window do everything related to that vm, including: start / stop / change all settings / reboot - without necessarily accessing the main window with all VMs.
