Describe the bug When doing certain tasks the display spice seems to freeze up until you pause the VM, completely close out of it, and relaunch UTM and the VM

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Internet Explorer for example and try going to google.com, display will freeze
  2. Pause VM and close out of UTM
  3. Relaunch UTM and the VM and see that now the display is responsive again

Debug log Log

Also, this appears to happen on XP, Vista, and 7. I'm using an iPhone 11 on iOS 14.3 installed through AltStore

I've been getting a similar issue on not just Windows but also Linux VMs. The VM seemingly freezes and becomes completely unresponsive. I'm forced to kill the VM and restart it and upon restarting I'm met with an error saying that the port is not opened, though I'm not sure if this is related. This is driving me insane because I haven't even been able to complete the Debian 12 install process with the constant freezing.

Same here trying to install kali with serial mode enabled. Freezes at different points which seems to be a rendering bug.

Don't know if it's the same issue, but I had this problem too on Ubuntu 22. It froze maybe each 3rd hour of usage. I think I read somewhere that this problem wasn't present in Ubuntu 20, so I tried using Ubuntu 20 instead, but it wasn't any better. Then I upgraded Ubuntu 20 to Ubuntu 23 (in two steps, first from 20 to 22, and then from 22 to 23). This is 4-5 days ago and I haven't had a freeze yet. So it seems like it's fixed in Ubuntu 23. After the upgrade, the X11/XVideo extension is missing, for some reason, which could be a hint for why it froze earlier.
