Links to searches and embed list widget on catalog pages

Might be handy to have links to searches of that catalog on catalog pages. Maybe use list widget to display recent events. Just an idea.

There is no left nav now because of the split content (and a decision not being made yet about what to put in the left nav), but I can put a link to the major sections of the ComCat Doc, which would include the Search. Don't know about having a list on all the catalog pages, but we can talk about the pros and cons.
