API interace to interact with the Builder

I've integrated this with my app, but I'm having trouble finding the right APIs to interact with the library, i.e loading and or exporting content. I ended up using workarounds, but they don't seem practical for more complex designs. Is there documentation that explains the library's functions and how to use them to achieve different taks.
