Fathom is not persisting page view

Hi. Thanks for the awesome product. I encountered a rather strange issue, however: after building the binary from source and running it successfully, Fathom simply does not increase the page view count. I dug into the logs, but only found:

Aug 24 14:41:48 lev-ubuntu fathom[2715582]: time="2023-08-24T14:41:48Z" level=debug msg="persisting 1 pageviews (1 inserts, 0 updates)"
Aug 24 14:41:52 lev-ubuntu fathom[2715582]: time="2023-08-24T14:41:52Z" level=debug msg="persisting 1 pageviews (1 inserts, 0 updates)"

The "current visitors" part sometimes does increase (from 0 to 1 or 2 current visitors), but I do not see the page view count increases.
