I have checked the following:

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and found nothing related to my issue.

This bug is:

  • [ ] making Bruno unusable for me
  • [x] slowing me down but I'm able to continue working
  • [ ] annoying
  • [ ] this feature was working in a previous version but is broken in the current release.

Bruno version

2.13.2

Operating System

Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS, Linux 6.8.0-87-generic

Describe the bug

Hello, Bruno freezes for about 1min when, after starting, I click in the root level of the collection to open it. Sometimes it also freezes when opening lower levels, but that happens randomly. My collection has around 150 requests. (this text was copied from issue 3685)

If I click in the root level of the collection I can see it's reading the requests as the number keeps raising. It just very slow, and completely freezes the whole interface.

How can I fix this?

.bru file to reproduce the bug

This is a corporate environment, I can't share the data. We have around 150 requests, most of them with around 1.5K fields.

Same as above.

@robs-nice99 A few questions

  1. Was this faster in an earlier version of Bruno?
  2. "most of them with around 1.5K fields." --> Can you explain what you mean by field here ?
  3. "I can see it's reading the requests as the number keeps raising." ---> Does it go beyond the number of requests you expect to have in the collection ?

Hi! Thanks for getting back!

  1. Was this faster in an earlier version of Bruno?

No. When the previous issue was marked as fixed I think there was an improvement.

  1. "most of them with around 1.5K fields." --> Can you explain what you mean by field here ?

The body of the requests is usually in json format, and with a pretty formatting, it has more than 1k lines.

  1. "I can see it's reading the requests as the number keeps raising." ---> Does it go beyond the number of requests you expect to have in the collection ?

No. It just counts them all (around 150).

Thanks again!
